Miami-Dade County officials have ordered FastSeos Internet service to be shut down after a Florida man was charged with cyberstalkings.
FastSeo, a network that provides Internet service for people who want to access the Internet in rural areas, was ordered to stop providing Internet service at a Miami-area home by the Miami- Dade County Health Department on Tuesday, according to a release from the county.
The Miami-based company, which operates more than 4,000 Internet service points in the county, said the outage was due to a “security breach.”
In a statement, FastSeoS said it has been cooperating with the county and other authorities on this matter.
Fast Seo has been in the news in recent months after it was revealed that the company had a history of cyberstalker attacks.
In November, the company said it was investigating “several” cybersturings.
In June, Fast Seo admitted to the FBI that it had been using malware to infect computer systems in the U.S. and abroad.
In January, the FBI said that Fast Seos cyberstursings were the most sophisticated in the country.
